About
I'm Adam Stadius. I've taught acting for over twenty years and Meisner for fifteen.
I began my training in Meisner under Scott Williams at the Impulse Company in London. Scott trained with Sanford Meisner at the Neighborhood Playhouse in New York. I went on to work in New York with alumni of the Playhouse and of the William Esper Studio and have refined my craft throughout my career training graduates from some of the UK's leading drama schools including RADA, Arts Ed, Mountview, RCSSD and LAMDA.
My students can be seen on the West End, in major motion pictures and on multiple TV productions.
I launched the School of Drama at Leeds Conservatoire in 2019 where I am now Deputy Head, and I co-founded Both Feet Actor Training, now led by the phenomenal Stephanie Morgan.
Northern Meisner Lab is my own practice, refined through years of experience and dedication to empowering actors to bring their truest self to their work.
Training with Adam has made up the foundation of my acting practice. Meisner technique has kept me grounded and present and curious in my career, professional jobs and auditions.

Adam creates an inspired, nurturing environment to push yourself, fail spectacularly and improve tenfold.
Adam is a fantastic coach who holds a safe space where you feel free to play but feel held at the same time to be bold and daring.
Meisner Technique unlocked so much in my acting approach and had so many "penny drop" moments that completely changed my thinking.
The skills I developed on this Meisner course have stayed with me throughout my career and have become a mainstay for me when developing my craft.
Adam is a wonderfully supportive and encouraging teacher. I wanted to understand the basics of Meisner, which he taught me and more.
Loved his introduction to Meisner during my formative years at Project A. Engaging and knowledgeable facilitator who I'd massively recommend!
